What have you learned from your audience feedback?
Audience feedback is the most essential features within the components of a trailer, poster and magazine. The audience feedback is good as they can tell us what is wrong or what they think is a good idea for the poster, magazine and teaser trailer. Feedback can tell us if we are targeting the right audience and its helps us make our work be excellent.
Trailer feedback
From doing feedback of our trailer, it gives us an idea of what our audience is thinking, for example shot types, colour of the text, is it easy to understand, and if they like it. Many have personally told our group that they like it when watching it in class and free time, as you can see some people have commented on out trailer and we take it on bored, we looked at changing the writing but we personally thought it didn’t go with the rest of our work and prefer it green as it is different to other trailers and it was there to catch your eye. All of our feedback helped us make our trailer, poster and magazine better as general comments about our work were changed and this made it better for our target audience. |
From our audience feedback we have learnt that 'They both look unreal' and the audience like the colour scheme and effects that we have used on the poster and magazine. This poster and magazine are a lot different to any other, due to the fact that they are original and that they both use the colour green, we are using this colour as it is different to many other horror related media types, this draws the audience in and entices them to watch our trailer. We posed like a boyband to give the effect of fun but also seriousness in our product, the use of the 'boyband' type models brings in a potentially bigger female audience as it appeals to the female stereotype.
Over the Poster and Magazine we have used an effect which is a smoky/fog type effect as this was part of our feedback off of a student from our class, as this wouldn't make as plain as it would be without. We have been given positive feedback on the photo on the poster as it is original and unique, we decided on this idea because it would draw the attention of our trailer to the fact that we are filming something, like the Blair Witch Project, audiences like to see films which have an element of reality.
Overall, the feedback we got from our audience helps us to create a better sense of reality in our trailer, and helps us to make our poster and magazine stand out from the rest.
