Influences
We, as a group, have been influenced by four different trailers, these trailers are all about paranormal activities. The four trailers that have influenced us are the trailers for, ITV Horror dramas 'Lightfields' and 'Marchlands', and also the hit Horror films, 'Grave Encounters' and 'Grave Encounters 2'.
Light fields
This trailer gives the impression of realism which creates suspense and leaves the audience on edge. we believe that by making our trailer seem realistic it could have a great effect on our audience. The fact that the trailer shows the same house in three different years shows that the spirit is disturbed and will not rest, which we think relates to our trailer.
Grave Encounters 2
Grave Encounters 2 is a sequel to 'Grave Encounters'. This trailer is about a few people who watched the first film, and they wanted to see the Paranormal experience for themselves. The is good to influence because it makes people think that the events in this trailer, may actually be real, as the slogan says, 'But what if it wasn't just a movie' builds suspense that the events in this trailer are real.
Grave Encounters
As the first film it is very good as it shows the viewers what to expect from the movie, this paranormal has inspired us to create a trailer which has similar effects and graphic detail to make our trailer stand out.
The Strangers
This trailer has changed our direction in influence. This is because it is easy and simple to rip and pay homage to it. It has little casting, so it would be easy for us. we like the idea of suspense that they have done in this trailer. For example, the record player just starts playing for no reason, so the suspense would be built up quite drastically.
At the end of the trailer, the woman asks, 'Why are you doing this to us?' and the killer replies, because you were home', this would scare the viewers because this would build us suspense of these events actually accuring because people are at home.
